Updated: May 30, 2019

Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund (CBCF) partnered with design education organization WeDesign Group Inc. to greatly expand the Yue-Sai Kan China Beauty Charity Fund Executive Education in Sustainable Fashion program, tailored to executives and professionals at Chinese companies engaged in fashion, beauty and lifestyle products and services.

Our goal for “Executive Education in Sustainable Fashion” Program, is to gain an awareness and understanding of best practices in sustainability so they have the foundational knowledge and tools to develop a strategic approach that supports their brand, business and growth goals as well as our environment.

The program begins with a unique series of online masterclass conversations with Chinese subtitles and Live Chat.

Experts such as Julie Gilhart (Fashion Consultant), Toby Usnik (Author, The Caring Economy), Dr Timo Rissanen ( Parsons School of Design - The New School), and Matt Scanlan (Naadam) share and discuss the foundational knowledge, tools and strategies to actively address challenges and create opportunities for corporate sustainability implementation both now and in the future.

For the offline part of the program, we invites senior fashion executives from China to spend a week in NYC learning about successful sustainability efforts in fashion organizations and companies. Starting with a series of foundational online classes, participants arrive in NYC for a program which gives insight by leading organizations, experts and academics through a series of lectures, discussions, panels, and workshops.

This course explores the challenges, risks, and successes of companies who have incorporated sustainability. And finally, it recognizes executives’ critical and unique roles in managing our global future by equipping them with the tools to create or strengthen a more responsible, respected and viable business.
